The International Conference on ICCB-2026 jointly organized by Department of Biotechnology, GGV Bilaspur and the Chemical Biology Society (CBS) of India, will serve as a prominent platform for the sharing of ideas, presentation innovative research, and fostering of collaboration across academia, industry, and research institutions. The event will include keynote lectures, poster presentations, and interactive sessions on contemporary advancements such as structure-guided drug discovery, AI-assisted molecular design, chemical probe creation, and target detection techniques. It will further motivate academic institutions, national laboratories, and the pharmaceutical industry to collaborate jointly more closely to make India's drug research more effective on the global stage.

This year’s conference theme, “Chemical Biology as a Platform for Rational Drug Design,” is dedicated to the 2025 Nobel Laureates in Chemistry, Susumu Kitagawa, Richard Robson, and Omar M. Yaghi. They honoured Nobel Prize for the development of metal–organic frameworks (MOFs). These porous, crystalline materials, composed of metal ions or clusters linked by organic molecules, have revolutionized the way scientists approach molecular design, catalysis, and drug delivery. By drawing inspiration from the precision and versatility of MOFs, this conference emphasizes how Chemical Biology serves as a powerful platform for rational drug design such as integrating structural insights, molecular interactions, and chemical innovation to develop targeted therapeutics. The event aims to bring together researchers and scholars from chemistry, biology, and pharmaceutical sciences to discuss cutting-edge advancements, share interdisciplinary perspectives, and explore how the principles behind MOFs and Chemical Biology can together shape the future of intelligent drug discovery.
